Evolving Web Designs

After Google’s success with a simpler & clean web page, more & more web desings are taking the uncluttered approach. For instance take a look at the newer chase or citi web sites. Their older designs looked messy with links all over the page. While everyone else is trying to unclutter, Google is trying to find ways to put more content on it’s most visited home page without polluting it. Now isn’t that an interesting circle?

BoSox do it again!

Although the final score does not show how close the game was, the Boston Red Sox & their famed rookie held their nerve to clinch the final game of the series & clinch a berth in the world series. Although Dice K looked a little shaky in the 4th & 5th innings he threw 3 good innings to begin the game while their offense put some runs on the board. While everything clicked for Boston at the right time, almost every aspect of the game came apart for the Indians towards the end. It was another well deserved comeback for Boston in this series. Now it is time for them to face the red hot Rockies!

Can it get any better!

A stupid mistake (or should I say a little adrenaline rush) from Lewis Hamilton & a brilliant team strategy from Ferrari gives the Iceman his first ever world driver’s championship. On a day when Hamilton’s worst nightmare came true, it was Kimi who put on an unfazed show to win the Brazilian grand prix & clinch the driver’s title. The only great move Alonso came up with forced Hamilton to make the mistake he made, and gave him a chance to put on a fight for the title. But the car never had enough to take the fight to the Ferrari’s. At the end of the year, after all the bickering between the McLaren driver’s, it is ironic & definitely a sweet ending for Ferrari & Kimi.

Down to the wire

With Lewis Hamilton crashing out of the Chinese GP & only 3 or 4 points seperating the top three drivers, the battle for the title is nicely setup for a thrilling end in Brazil. Although Alonso’s bickering all weekend might have some truth to it, it is hard to believe that he is where he is in the standings on just his talent without the team providing him the necessary means. On the other hand, the ice man in Ferrari has been pretty composed & determined in taking his fight to the others. It will be exhilrating to see somebody else other than the last year’s champion take the title this year. I’m rooting for both Kimi & Lewis!

Alonso on the move

October 1, 2007 PV Leave a comment

With all the bickering & finger pointing growing day by day, and Renault’s boss Falvio Briatore extending an open invitation to Fernando Alonso, there is no doubt that he is on the move. Although there are rumors floating around linking him to Ferrari, it is pretty obvious that he will be with Renault, the team with which he won 2 world championships & where he will undoubtedly be treated as the No.1. As interesting as this year has been, it will be fun to watch 3 top drivers race it out for the championship next year from 3 different teams. Let’s keep our fingers crossed!
