Google Docs

With my recent zest to access data from anywhere, the latest desktop application I was looking to replace was the office productivity software, mainly spreadsheets & docs. Obviously, my first choice was to take a look at Google’s product since all I would have to do was to just login & start using it since I already use a few of their services. My impression of Google has always been that they are not as saintly as they sound. Anyways, after working on a few spreadsheets I am really impressed by their product. After using MS Office for a few years the transition was so seamless that for a few moments I even forgot that it was a web based application. It just did what I expected it to do. Being an application developer, it is just amazing to see it all work. So if you are out there looking for online productivity apps, Google docs is definitely worth taking a look at. And of course it is free.
